Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, is the legendary creature we all know and love. Sightings and legends go back as far as human history. You can also track the sightings all over the world. In Asia, you have the Yeti, Southern United States has the skunk ape, Australia has the Yowie, and of course, the Northern part of the United States, and Canada has Big Foot.
Many Tribes in North America have stories of Bigfoot. They may have different names, but they all describe the same thing. Some Tribes believe it was a message to warn danger, while others thought it was a man imbued with special powers. Whatever it may be, one thing is for sure. They all describe the same Ape like creature.

There are so many sightings of Big Foot and even supposed evidence that it is hard to believe there is still nothing 100 percent full proof. You have all of the footprints that have been found throughout the years—the first documented prints were by David Thompson in 1811. You can’t forget about the famous film by Roger Patterson that caught Bigfoot walking through the woods in California in 1967. The film has still yet to be debunked. This doesn’t leave out the hundreds of photos and footage of Bigfoot.

While many of the sightings of Bigfoot tend to be peaceful, some have been violent. In the 1970s-90s, marijuana farmers in the Emerald triangle reported Bigfoots harassing and even killing people. A Canadian prospector in 1924 claims to have been kidnaped by a family of Bigfoot for six days. We can’t forget the battle of the ape canyon when giant ape-like men threw rocks from a cliff onto a miners’ cabin. One of the miners even said it shot one.
Since Bigfoot has been researched, many researchers have developed behavior patterns they believe Bigfoot has. Some of these include Bigfoot being nocturnal because of the number of sightings at night. They have also been known to throw rocks out of territorial displays or knock on trees as a type of communication. People have often heard strange sounds in the woods like grunts, howls, screams, etc. they connected to Bigfoot. People have often said that Bigfoot killed their dog as well. Even though there are some violent encounters, it prefers to flee and hide from people.
Knowing that Bigfoot is one of the most famous creatures out there, why do you think he hasn’t been found? Is Bigfoot real? Or is it one of the biggest hoaxes of humankind?
